“Flying Tigers” was the nickname of American
volunteer pilots in Chinese Air-force fighting Japanese in China during early
WWII.
Do you know that there is an American infant boy
who had been left in China after the WWII? Why did it happen? How had he lived
through the treacherous turmoil in the Chinese political arena? How different
was his life experiences from ordinary Americans, or even from a Chinese?
"Son of the Flying Tiger" gives the
readers a view of completely human family made up from a Chinese couple, their
children, and an American boy; their struggles and trials over several decades,
and their acceptance of things as they come to be. From a Chinese cultural
point of view, a family is their life, as their wind and their rain, without
pretentious or complaint.
